Try the Blackbird excellent red
Certainly for group, yes
Came in during dinner, although with the COVID pandemic there were only 2 other diners in the restaurant. The wine was fantastic, as were the servers. The food was alright. The spinach and risotto were VERY salty, the duck was slightly overcooked. May have just been an off-night for the kitchen.
Great service, atmosphere, and of course food. First time here and we were impressed. Give the NY strip a try.
Still my favorite kitchen in OKC! Outstanding steaks, seafood. Great flavors with creative risottos, etc. Service and ambiance are above average.
Great atmosphere and great service. The steak was cooked perfectly and tender . If it wasn't for the prices it would definitely be a usual place for us. Great for date night or special occasions.
Great food, super nice management and staff, cozy atmosphere. Ideal place for a dinner date.
When you arrive, valet parking is available which is a nice touch; however, if the entrance is small, so if you do not prefer to deal with that there is parking nearby. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food quality and portion size matches the price, which is upscale. Overall, this restaurant is perfect for business clients, date nights, anniversaries, or for just a random night out. You won't be disappointed.
Very nice facility. Excellent atmosphere. My date said her salmon was delicious. My steak was terrible. I ordered mediumrare filet. The filet was 1/4 charcoal. Literally. The steak was as crunchy as it was chewy. Very difficult to cut with a good steak knife. Mashed potatoes unfavorable, no salt/pepper etc. were offered or present at the table. This was the worst filet I have ever attempted to eat. Crab cakes were very good! Go somewhere else, unless your family works there.
Amazing, attentive staff. They really cared about our whole experience. A very relaxing ambiance with good drinks (cocktails and wine). Very friendly, personable manager who walked around making sure everyone got the most out of their meal, they even brought us some complimentary mashed potatoes for the 2 year old with us.
Amazing place with quality food. Atmosphere was cool and they staff was decent and dedicated. The food was of good quality and well cooked. If i talk about the drinks were also superb. The dinning was good enough . Finally recommended place.
Great place, we love to sit at the bar. Food was excellent and the Julia Child potatoes, are a must!
Dimmly lit very romantic setting. The Mantel Wine Bar and Bistro is a great date night destination. Service here was pleasant and attentive. The food scored high on quality taste and preparation not so much on plating and presentation creativity. The deserts varied, while the creme brulee was so so, the molten lava cake was off the hook delicious. I suggest you grab a date and try this joint. It's someplace I'll revisit.
I had the ribeye was very very good I would come back again.need more light hard to see the menu lol
This was the beat place i have ate in Oklahoma city. The cheif is a 5 star chef easily. The plates were more than generous. But to be honest if they would have gave me a quarter of the food i got and i still would have been impressed. ☆☆☆☆☆
Food and service were exceptional. However while we were dining they sat someone 2 feet away from our table, so social distancing wasn't really being followed. But everything else was great.
The seafood is excellent! The drinks are good and stiff, just how I love them. A good time for gossip and laughter! Martina is so kind and helpful!
Super overpriced and not even worth it. Food was mediocre. Lobster bisque was terrible, no lobster it in, pretty sure they poured it out of a can. The glasses of wine were small. I made a comment to my waiter about how he kept pouring small amounts on top of my glass which still had wine in it. Manager came over and said they serve 5.5 oz pours and that was what it should be. Should have just topped my glass off for what we spent for a party of six there. Not to mention, every other restaurant in America serves 6 or 9 ounce glasses. Would never go back there or recommend it.
We went on a double date with friends and my friend's salmon was mushy in texture rather than flaky as it should have been. The rest of our food was great! They brought her out a blackened chicken breast to replace the salmon, comped her meal, AND gave her a free dessert! Excellent service from our server Dillon too he was just the right amount of attentive and didn't give any attitude about replacing my friend's food. Atmosphere was relaxed and didn't feel stuffy like some other high-end restaurants. We had a very nice time!
Lydon provided the best service & right on time
Wonderful date night restaurant. Tables with candles, a chic interior, and an extensive wine list, this is a place that is designed for you to savor the evening, not grab a quick bite. The waiters here are professional and know the menu and can recommend handcrafted cocktails and unusual wines to compliment your meal. We split the salad and both had the duck which was fabulous. Save room for dessert; the bananas foster is served tableside with quite a show.
Amazing selection of wine. Some of the best halibut I’ve ever had! The servers were great. The Mantel went above and beyond. Highly recommend
I was able to build my own salad and sauteed veggies.
Very good steak. It surpassed my expectations! Steak here is better than at Broadway 10 and it's a cheaper price. I highly recommend the Ribeye.
Decided to give them a try for NYE with my wife. Easy parking, greeted at the door, and seated quickly. They had a set menu for NYE, which is understandable. Nice variety on the menu. Service wasn’t too great. I don’t know if the built in tip had anything to do with it, but it took forever to initially take our drink orders, then our food orders. Had a glass of wine and I believe they forgot I ordered it. Waitress blamed it on the bartender and then brought a bottle to pour the glass. Waitress also seemed to know a larger table of guest and went over to chat it up a couple of times. I don’t mind that, but her tables were waiting on things. Food was pretty good. Not exceptional, but was good. My wife got an 8oz filet and I got the duck. Thought it was pretty decent. Not $75 per person decent. We may go back when there is a full menu and to see if the service is better.
Wonderful dinner after a long day of travel into OKC. Staff was attentive and friendly. Overall service and my dinner was good.
Initially we got sat right at the entrance and by the kitchen, where it was a little noisy. We politely asked the host if we could change seats as it was special occasion and there were open tables throughout the restaurant. Initially she was very busy, but once we were moved they gave us complimentary champagne for our wait. The service and food was perfect! Very grateful for our experience and will definitely be back!
Overall it was a good dinner, I was just hoping for a little more bang for your buck! I got the diver scallops and they were delicious but for 38 bucks I wish there were more than 5 scallops. The star of the meal was the Gruyere risotto! It was beyond amazing! Also the Caesar salad with whole anchovies on top was delicious. My husband got the rack of lamb and it was also good but we didn’t taste any of the garlic rosemary, the star of his was the wild mushroom risotto! I don’t know what they do to the risotto but it’s so good! I wasn’t a fan of the small tables when you first walk in where they sit just 2 tops. They are so close together and it’s not quite as romantic vibe as we would have liked for our anniversary. But overall it was a nice dinner
I was traveling alone so hide to sit at the bar. The bar is small, about 8 seats maybe. I had the crab cake appetizer which was plenty for my meal. They were a bit on the done side, but plenty of crab and little filler. My complaint is the onions were large and overpowering when you bit into one (and I love onion). I would personally prefer a smaller dice. I would go again and had two glasses of wine. The staff were great, well trained and polite. It would be a great spot to go with someone special.
IN LOVE with this place. My husband and I wanted a place we could dress up to and have a nice dinner out. We tried The Mantel on a whim. Our waitress (Nadine) was friendly, knowledgeable and we never had to wait for refills or anything like that. Honestly every staff member we interacted with was super friendly and helpful. The food was so freakin good too! My husband got the ribeye and I ordered one of the features, Seatini. Definitely will be coming back.
The atmosphere was tge best dim and dark like a cave. Ha.. You cant share food because the portions are small. Soooo. The server was awesome really helpful since we were new to the scene. We sampled a lot of drinks and all were perfectly strong.
Excellent Cusine and wait Staff!😊😊❤❤
Gross bathrooms, place needs remodeling. Overpriced frozen food.
